Orphan Living in a Box

Made this last year for sculpting class. We came up with an idea of a cool post-apocalyptic world, and I wanted to focus on what that world would look like for the weak and vulnerable.

Wanted to try to make something different to broaden my skills, so decided to sculpt a child. Tried out MicroPoly for the pillow and teddy bear, and got more acquainted with fibermesh. As I was short on time, I didn't sculpt the back side. If I had more time, I would give him some poorly kept hair, wounds and make his clothes torn and worn out.

Rendered and lit in Arnold.

Didn't do anything with the topology. Just did displacements and rendered in Arnold. :-)

Painted concepts based on a world we had come up with in group. We were encouraged to exaggerate shapes. Made three rough base meshes too.
